Updated to reflect the modern family of the 21st century, the Mr. Potato Head line is now called simply, ‘Potato Head‘, allowing for a more diverse and inclusive play. In addition, Hasbro has updated the look and feel a bit, keeping the goofy parts and making them even more fun.

Rollis makes adorable, high-quality toy cars that have a personality much larger than their small size may suggest.

We love the bulbous form, and the way the characters are wedged into them, filling the entire windshield. Each car is carefully built and uses 8 coats of paint to ensure it is built to last. Available for $59 apiece.

Making a set of wooden blocks for your kids is great. Making custom, beautifully crafted wooden characters for your kids is even better.Β Yen Jui-LinΒ has a great collection of such characters, all with loving detail and creative, quirky style. Finished with different color stains, the characters have a playful quality that make them beg to be picked up and played with. Via Colossal:

Talk about overachieving. This absurdly huge, incredibly-detailed replica of Hogwarts is entirely made of LEGO, and it’s pretty amazing. Artist/creator Alice Finch spent countless dollars and a full year building the castle, which is composed of over 400,000 bricks. You can read an interview with her here, and check out her Flickr page for lots more detailed photos. Via Laughing Squid:

Who wouldn’t want one of these Lego lamps? In fact, we have some LEGO sets laying around the house, we might try my hand at creating one of these goofy, imaginative creations.

Via Retail Design Blog & Dina M: The lamps, each piece monochromatically featuring a LEGO color paired with a white lampshade, were designed by Jung Ah Kim and are available in five different models. The fascination that falls upon these textured lamps is rooted in the β€œpixelation” that occurs through configuring the orthogonal blocks to portray a smooth curve of the lamp’s surface.
