2:45 Without Breathing

Free-diving is an elegant (and crazy!) sport that pushes the limits of what the human body is capable of. Sofía Gómez, a Columbian athlete sponsored by BBVA, recently completed a record breaking dive of 84 meters, holding her breath for two minutes, 45 seconds.   In a very clever ad, BBVA created a long piece of text that takes exactly that long to read, and challenged it’s readers to hold their breath while reading it, to see how far they could get. In our trial, we read speedily, but had to gasp for breath about 3/4 in.
