We love the way this image captures the essence of a summer night. Entitled Bringing In the Stars, Amelia Fletcher runs across a green pasture in a summer dress, trailing a giant black canvas of the starlit sky behind her.

The summertime scene was made several years ago, but catches our eye every time we see it, perfectly evoking the fireflies and twinkling stars of a warm summer night.

The idea of a flowing night sky rippling its way across the landscape is a lovely peaceful vision…

“This photo was a lot of fun to make, it’s in a cow pasture near my house and the cows kept getting closer to see what I was up to. Every time I started running with the fabric they would scatter, and then when I went back to check the shot they came right back again. One was trying to lick the camera haha…”
