Yes, yes, you’re tired about hearing about the total solar eclipse on August 21. You know what? Get over it! In this exhausting, horrible news cycle, getting excited about science and nature and rare celestial phenomena is a great thing. Bring it on, we say. So we were super pumped to come across this video entitled Go See This Eclipse, which uses vintage and new footage to describe the eclipse, and how amazing it is going to be. Created by Alex Gorosh, the video has a great historical look at the 1979 eclipse, including some Walter Cronkite footage speaking about the next great eclipse, in 2017. Gorosh also uses a scale model of the sun, moon and earth in the desert to show how this rare event occurs. It’s great way to build excitement further for next week’s eclipse. We, at least, are pumped.
