KFC would never be labeled a ‘sustainable business’, but even the giant food chains have woken up to the realization that their waste streams need to be fixed. KFC in Hong Kong has a new edible wrapper made of rice paper, which wraps some of their most popular chicken sandwiches. The result is humorous and daring, and the branding doubles down on the absurd notion of eating your sandwich’s wrapper.  Calling them “200% edible”, the brand is experimenting with this concept in Asia, but no word on the packaging making it’s way to North America.
