Design by Aristides Dallas Architects, this striking home design is cut into the Greek hillside, and blends traditional building material with a cutting-edge look and feel.
Feeling like an extension of the land around it, Terra Fracta cuts a slim profile into the hillside, emerging just enough to give beautiful, panoramic views of the Aegean Sea.
With spaces that seamlessly flow from indoors to outdoors, the unique design offers ample natural light without large visible glass windows. Located on Antiparos Island, the home feels like a case study in how to build luxury without dominating the landscape.
Indeed, the carved hillside design has a minimal footprint from above, aside from angular pool and outdoor gathering spaces.

“Terra Fracta, designed by Aristides Dallas Architects, is a residence nestled into the hillside of Antiparos Island, Greece.
The home is entirely subterranean, with two distinct sections: the main residence and the guesthouses. Slanted roofs define these sections, forming triangular shapes that rise gently from the earth, creating a sleek silhouette.
Local stone and concrete contribute to the raw, natural aesthetic of the building, establishing a strong connection with its surroundings.”

Beautiful and elegant at the same time.
Pretty and awe
We agree, there’s a hint of Wright’s work there. Thanks for the comment!
Looks like a variation on FLW’s Taliesen West in Arizona. It takes great advantage of the sky and water for extra drama.
