We’re digging this lava lamp, a collaboration between Sabine Marcelis and Mathmos, featuring a deep burgundy body and an etched glass case.

The lava lamp has been around since the early 1960s, and the form remains similar, with some variations over the years. This version doesn’t change the formula, but ups the material quality to something more premium.

Check out more about the collaboration on Wallpaper, and shop for lava lamps on Mathmos’ website.

  1. This is made by the original lava lamp producers! We sure hope it blurps up!

  2. Does the lava still blurp up in gobs? If not, it isn’t a lava lamp, no matter how much more modern the new artistic piece is. And the price may be.
