The PBS/BBC show Spy In the Wild uses cleverly disguised and camouflaged cameras to capture wildlife in its natural, undisturbed state.

This clip shows the Sifaka lemur and their delightful and amusing way of getting across the ground. Adapted to life climbing and leaping from tree-to-tree, the Sifakas aren’t great at walking on all fours, so they’ve resorted to a kind of pogo-like hopping when on the ground.

ArtistΒ Thomas WilderΒ created anΒ artistic series of wild animal β€œwanted posters.” The posters shows a different animal that has been on the loose in NYC within the past decade.

Two weeks ago a dolphin got stuck in the Gowanus Canal here in Brooklyn which made me wonder what other wild animals have gotten loose in NYC. Surprisingly the animals range from a mysterious ghost dog to a bengal Tiger in Harlem.
