Tignes

We love fog, it’s no surprise to say. So when we saw this beautiful series by GUIOT Damien, we needed to share it. His travel through the rural French Alps, including the tiny, ghostlike village of Le Monal is thick with mountain fog, so much so that often only a hint of a peak shows through his images. We can imagine the smell and feeling of the cold fog as it lifts up the Alps, revealing the beauty underneath.

The moodiness of the series, Tignes, adds mystery and foreboding, but also invites the viewer in. We feel like lacing up our boots and trekking into the French fog along with him. Beautiful work.
