Nature and More and ICA are teaming up to label produce using a permanent, yet harmless mark that labels things, instead of disposable plastic stickers. It sounds like a small step, but it’s another effort towards reducing our use of plastic and other non-biodegradable waste, which sounds like a great plan to us. In just one chain of stores, the amount of plastic used to create stickers for avocados alone creates a ribbon 135 miles long. Think about the impact if that were scaled up to all grocery stores, worldwide.
