Washington state is packed with natural wonders, and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness is especially beautiful, encompassing a big swath of the Central Cascades area.

We are eager to see spring and summer approach, and the start of alpine hiking and backpacking season.  Photographer Nathaniel Wise has a collection showing some of this alpine beauty, with fields of wildflowers, turquoise glacial lakes, and bright blue skies. Via Behance:
